Freckle juice by Judy Blume is a fiction book for ages 6 and up. It’s a story about a boy who wants freckles. When one person in his class gives him a recipe that the person says will give him freckles, he tries it out to see if it works. I liked the story overall but I think the outcome at the end is not so great.

Cam Jansen and the Mystery of the Stolen Corn Popper (Book 11) by David A. Adler is a suspenseful mystery. Cam and her friend, Eric, are getting school supplies from a store when someone’s shopping bag is stolen. Cam and Eric have to figure out who did it. The setting of a department store creates a challenge because there are so many people there and only one is the culprit. I recommend the story for ages five and up.
